nike GIRLS football camps with chelsea fc foundation
6- or 13-night football camps for 12 - 17 year old girls at Charterhouse School
Chelsea FC Women won the 2018 Super League and FA Women’s Cup and now you can learn from the champions in a 6 or 13 night girls’ specialist football camp from Chelsea FC Foundation. Stay at a prestigious private school with top facilities and train with like-minded girls from across the world in a coaching programme delivered by female coaches from the girls’ development programme. Alongside football training, players can choose to improve their English language skills in daily English lessons with professional teachers.
A full day of training at Chelsea FC’s Training Ground including matches against other Chelsea FC Foundation teams and workshops with special guests give players an insight into life at the club. At the end of each week a trip to Stamford Bridge completes the experience with a prize-giving celebration and tour of the stadium.
football And english
Spend half the day training like a professional football player with Chelsea FC Foundation coaches and spend the other half of the day learning English through a curriculum carefully designed to integrate with sports coaching. Share experiences with students from other countries, cultures and backgrounds who all have one thing in common; football.
Gain a unique insight into life as a young professional footballer with Chelsea FC. This intensive programme has been designed by Chelsea FC Foundation to challenge players at every level of the game. Training for several hours a day, players will work on technical and tactical elements of the game as well as learning off the pitch in special workshops and seminars.
Players are coached by the Chelsea FC Foundation, one of the world’s leading football, education and community programmes. Players are challenged to improve their individual skills and techniques through four key areas of development; technical, physical, psychological and social. Female coaches use demonstration, practice and feedback to tailor the programme to get the best out of each player. A weekly training session at Chelsea FC’s Training Centre in Cobham provides an inspirational setting for players to take their training to the next level.
Our professional and dedicated English language teachers use a customised curriculum based on the CLIL approach used in top schools worldwide. Practising communication, reading and writing skills, students will put their learning into context, creating press releases, writing articles, conducting player interviews and researching sports-related media. An entry test groups students by age and ability at the start of the week. With an average of 12 students per class, students get excellent individual feedback.
Players will improve through a combination of coaching, skills challenges and small-sided games. They leave with a better understanding of themselves as a player and gain confidence and insight from an international football environment. Their English skills are developed inside and outside the classroom, improving all aspects of their communication and understanding. All players receive an individual coaching assessment and certificate to take home. Players studying English also receive a detailed weekly report and completion certificate from their teacher.
The camp is based at Charterhouse School, a leading private school near to London where the game of football has been played in one form or another since the early 1800s. Charterhouse’s football captain was present for the first meeting of the English Football Association, where the rules of the modern game of football were born. The school’s 68-acre site has a vast array of sports facilities amongst it’s impressive school buildings including numerous grass pitches, astro pitches, a tartan athletics track and a golf course.

The trip to Chelsea FC’s iconic stadium in London includes a behind-the-scenes tour and a visit to the museum, where players will learn about the evolution of the club. In their final week of camp, players will enjoy an end-of-camp celebration at the stadium, including prize-giving and a special guest speaker.
